Crea Quilling: Bienvenidos!!! - Creating Quilling or Paper Filigree (By Pily Núñez)

Por allá en el 2009, por una de las coincidencias de la vida, encontré en la web una cosa hermosa, que jamás había visto antes. Así que comencé a investigar, y es así cómo conocí esta maravillosa manualidad en papel llamada " Quilling" o Filigrana de papel en español. Durante aquellos años yo estaba aprendiendo otras manualidades, pero definitivamente me quedé con la filigrana de papel por su originalidad y belleza. Y desde aquel entonces me enamoré de esta técnica y busco cada día aprender más acerca de ésta.

It was 2009 and by one of those coincidences of life  I found on the internet a very beautiful thing that I never seen before. I started researching and that is how I met this wonderful art on paper called Quilling. During those years I was learning other crafts, but I definitely chose the quilling for its originality and beauty. Since then I fell in love of this technique and every day I try to learn more about this.

Así que he creado este espacio donde poder compartir mis creaciones, al cual le dí el nombre de CREAQUILLING.

So I created this space for share with you my creations in quilling paper. And I give the name Crea Quilling that means in spanish, my language, Create Quilling.

Letras en Filigrana de Papel - Quilling / Quilling Typography (By Pily Núñez)

Últimamente se ha hecho muy famoso en la red este tipo de quilling. Delinear una letra y luego rellenarla con las formas que se nos ocurran.  Lately it has become very famous in the network this type of quilling. Delineate a letter and then fill it with the shapes that we want. En esta ocasión se me ocurrió realizar dos letras muy personalizadas. Una "P" para mí y una "J" para mi pequeño hijo. On this occasion I made two very personalized letters. A "P" for me and a "J" for my little son. Tutorial Angel en Filigrana de Papel - Tutorial Quilled Angel (By Pily Núñez)

Do you want to make this angel?  Follow these steps! What you need: Quilling strips: The width of the strips used is 3mm Glue Toothpick Quilling Tool- up to you if you want to use a slotted, pointed or no tool at all. Comb Optional: marble or something round Optional: Some decorations for the dress Head: Make 2 tight coils using 1 m. and 30 cms x 3mm strips. Paste as many strips as you need to create the required length And then you must give this shape. For this you can use any round object. Apply glue to the inside and let dry. Then glue the both halves together Hair: Cut 10 little strips (3cms) to make the hair style. Dress/ Body: Make a tight coil using 4 meters (remember glue any strips as you need) and then give the cone shaped dress. Arms: Roll into a cone shape a strip (75 cms.) with a needle if you want.
